Siding Before and After

Siding!

We put the first bit of siding on today!  Very exciting news, and I'm sure our neighbors are tired of seeing it either ugly green or it's lovely shade of Tyvek that it's been for several weeks now. 

Trim

For the last several weeks my coworkers have asked me "what are you working on now?"  The answer for the last several weeks has been "trim."  I can't wait to start giving a different answer, and to be completely honest, M has done most to all of the work for this one.  We took off the storm windows and pulled off the wood trim on the windows, to replace it with hardiplank trim.  We had a hard time finding info on the hardiplank trim, and couldn't seem to find many people that used it.  And, now we think we know why.  It's heavy and a &%$#* to cut.  The trim wood on many of our windows was so damaged from rot, so we felt replacing it was the best option.   This is the kind of project that seems to keep going and going.

Afterwards

While working on the house, Rox gives us her worried look.  Maybe she knows something we don't.  And here's Moe cleaning himself...or cutting his hair, I'm not sure...
